Default mech or electrical gauge?

ok, I have my car running now, well its time for some gauges. I really like the looks of the autometer phantom's and am looking to buy a oil pressure gauge. now this may be a stupid question, but am going to ask it anyway... since my car is carbed, can I still use a electric gauge, or do I have to stick to a mech one?

im not sure, but either way you definetly want a mechanical oil pressure gauge, as far as any others go, get electrical

Mechanical for any fluids will be more accurate and wont have signal noise leading to improper readings.

But if the lines do break in the car you have a mess.

I am going with electrical all the way....for mine that is because it is easier to run an electrical wire through the firewall then a small tube...(they really aren't that large either...LOL)
