What is the fuel pressure supposed to be at for a STOCK 93(except exhaust)? I think my problem is fuel related but cannot find what the pressure should be...

exhaust won't have a correlation to change in fuel pressure!!........but stock pressure should be between 35-45 psi you'll need to have a gauge hooked up to verify it

Default RE: Fuel Pressure???

OK this is what I got, 32psi @ idle with vacum to the regulator. With the vaccum off the regulator I get around 40psi @ idle. The hose isn't long enough to check while driving so not sure what its at while under load.

Just like someone said, the problem is back after going away for a few days. When I get up to about 2500-3500rpms it acts like it is hitting a rev limiter and has no power at all. Any ideas? I changed the fuel filter and that didn't help so I am still thinking that it is a fuel/timing issue.

My car seems to be doing something very similar.
We set the fuel at 44 psi but its still running lean and it backfires at 3500 and lacks power.

Heres a new clue to this mystery. I cleaned the MAF sensor again with the MAF sensor cleaner, car ran fine. Got back in to take it to the car wash and it was back to the sputtering above 3000. Turned the heater on, and it started running fine again. I am thinking this may be an electrical problem. The stock gauges do not work for crap, but since I have had this problem, I have noticed the temp gauge goes higher than what it normally does, and the ammeter goes down to around 9 volts(Battery is fine and fully charged) when its running.

Before I had this problem I noticed if I had the key on, but the engine off and rolled up the windows the temp gauge would slowly go up. If I stopped rolling the windows up, the temp gauge would stop.

Any new ideas that could be electrical?
