[:@]............thanks alot.... and uhhhh.... lets say if I were to "hypothetically" put one of the SAE bolts into the all the way into the flywheel and take it out again... and lets just "say" their was some misthreading and metal shavings when I took it out.... do you think I would have to replace the flywheel?

I'm assuming you are telling me what you did and not hypothetically[:@].......no replacement of flywheel is necessary just drill hole out but not all the way through so you can tap it and install a helicoil in the partially drilled and tapped hole

And if I were to just try and thread in the metric on, that might cause vibration correct?

^^^^if it grabs and reaches proper torque without pulling out you might be okay but I'd have it repaired if you don't feel capable of repairing it....take it to a machine shop.. they shouldn't cost more than 20-30 to repair maybe less

well... I dont have the tools, and I already have the flywheel up on the car, and I dont like people workin on my stuff ^^, I think I might just thread it in, and put a good bit of locktite on it and then i'll make my desision when I put the bolt in wheather or not to tap it...

but hey man I really appriciate all of you help, you seem to have all the answers, I wouldnt be able to be doing what I am if I didnt have a place like mustangforums.....

thanks mjr46
