Default Grade 8.8 metric bolt ok strenght for pressure plate?

will these bolts work on my pressure plate? people at the hardware store tell me that these are equivalent to Grade 5 on SAE, is this true? will these work?

just go buy some hardened ones specifically for pressure plate use....I have used 8.8 before and been fine as the dowls hold it from twisting..but use the correct bolts anyway
