I havent checked if any other gears work. The noise sounds like its coming from either the bellhousing or the motor. Its hard to centralize the sound. The reason i put them on is a buddy of mine had them because they wouldnt fit on his gt. I didn't even heat em up when it happened i just did a first gear roll and going into 2nd it just went boom. Heres how they look

I run 4:30's and a 28 inch tall M/T slick Leave at 3K with the brake and bottle on.Thing is ,those tires will always find a weak spot. I run a Built REDNECK c4, did you upgrade any internals when you went thru the trans? try putting the rear on jackstands and turning the rear wheels by hand you should be able to feel something. And Zach that black 87 from the eldersburg lot goes 11.60. do i have some S- to tell you about what i found inside that build

Those use to be my slicks. I also have a 3.73. 1st and 2nd gear with those tires are crazy. They are too tall for a 3.73 tho. And if you just built that trans then you may have not done somethin right or had cheap parts. I have launched on those slicks pretty hard with my car with an aod driveshaft (the one with the tiny u-joints) and never had any problems. Did you try and speed shift?

Are these the ones tom got from you? Jason i think? But yea they didnt fit on his car and i thought what the hell. The trans stood up to plenty of powershifts on the spray since i rebuilt it. No noise or anything i took my time when i rebuilt it. I think it was just a little too much rubber for the ol t5.

I had them before jayson. I have a t5 in my car too and everything did fine with those slicks.Power shifting is what more than likely caused it tho cuz ofall the traction. But yea looks like you will have to pull it again
