Clutch install help, whirling noise?....
ok, on the last let of my AOD-T5 swap, I looked at my RAM directions for installation and they say I need a 1/4 inch, gap between the throw out bearing and pressure plate fingers, but I cannot get the clutch to dissengage, so I tighten up the cable enough to where I can dissengage the clutch and I can drive it fine, but when it is neutral I get a whirling noise.... my dad says its the throw out bearing, but everything is new... whats wrong?
thanks

I would put covewr on just to keep debris out as for the clutch issue you may have to reach under and release tension on the self adjuster..sometimes they get hund up on the end of the adjustment when replacing cable if pedal wash pushed down and it racheted to the end of adjustment, I have had to install cable and use a pry bar to get cable on fork and then reach under dash and lift up on the prong and release tension then go and pull up on pedal and rachet it to reset adjustment
