Remove smog equipment, remove EGR, install block plate, buy an EGR eliminator resistors plug, install it to the EVP connector and you're done. As soon as the EEC detects an EGR failure code, it will automatically delete/bypass its function + it will not affect A/F or driveability. The resistors plug will cause an EGR code 33 to be logged, and it will not cause the CEL to illuminate.
I am having my motor rebuilt now. I want a clean look under the hood. I'm removing the smog pump. Where do i get the block plate and EGR eliminator resistors plug? Do you have a part number? What parts will be eliminated? Sorry i bombed you with questions LOL!!!
