Default Questions about my 1995 5.0

I currently have a 1995 5.0 GT-S Auto. As of right now it is fairly stock, I have a off road H piper and catback flowmasters and my timing is at 13 degrees. I love my car , its my first real muscle car. I would like to keep it and work on it. It is an auto and that kinda sucks but people tell me if I do the right things to my tranny and I will be find. I am currently going away to school and I will brining it with me. I am pretty handy with cars and can figure things out. But would like some advise where I should go with it. Like I said before, Auto 5.0 160k on the motor, offroad H piper and catback flowmaster. What do you think I should do where I should go, Ive been told stall torque converter, shift kit and 3.73s..

Thanks Devin

Auto mustangs greatly benefit from a stall converter, yes the gears will be a big difference for the better. If it were my I would get a big external trans cooler to keep that trans temp below 200*. As far as the motor, without getting into the motor I would get a cold air intake underdrives pulleys and a good tune up.

Stay away from Under drive pulleys they can cause a low charging system, possible over heating or a few other gremlin type issuse.
Only way you could get me to put UD pulley's on mine again is if i was going stricktly strip racing. I nearly pulled all my hair out trying to chase out the issuse than went back to stock pully's and everything was fine. If you want it to hav emore power than get a shift kit installed in it.
