OMG, no oil pressure!
ok, I installed my new oil pressure gauge today, I just got done with my v8 conversion, had gone threw this motor and replaced all the gaskets and cleaned it up abit, but I didn't do anything to the bottom end but change the oil pan gasket and look over everything. My gauge is hooked up with the line, didn't hook up the power, thats for just the lights right? its a mech gauge. I hooked it into the port next to the oil filter, there used to be a aftermarket gauge hooked up there, but I threw it away and am using Autometer. here is a pic of where I hooked it up http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...d/aad90c16.jpg
I took off my valve covers and I see very little oil there, what could I have done or what?!?

RE: OMG, no oil pressure!
Your link did not work for me, but crank the engine with the covers off and no spark and look for oil on the rockers. If not you may have a bad pump or the shaft is not correct or something...
I used the stock location for my gage install by removing the stock sensor.

RE: OMG, no oil pressure!
ok, got a update, I feel sort of stupid for this, but when i turned the motor over on my stand, the drive shaft for the oil pump must have fell out and I didn't notice it. I found it later while picking up the garage and thought it was as allen wrench of sorts and put it in the bin. So you can guess my surprise today when i pulled my distributor and figured it out no wonder the distributor installed so damn easy anyway, I got pressure now ty all for your help I will go back to feeling stupid
