Hypereutectic?

RE: Hypereutectic?
yeah I ran 93 octane with 58cc afr aluminum heads.. the only reason I removed it was I sprayed it with NO2 and took out the mains[:@]..but it ran hard!!!......when I get some extra cash I'm gonna redo it soon....right now the block is sitting on my work bench and pistons and crank are in a box...I decided a few months ago to fix the 11 to 1 306 the way it needed to be done to with stand No2 it was gonna be almost as expensive to do such vs have a ready made more powerful 347 short block sent to my door.. so in went a 347

i really cant see them handling that much power.
my forged pistons were only 300 some, and if you plan on running any boost or n2o at all you've gotta go forged, they'll tear the hypers apart.

I sprayed a 200hp shot on my 308 with some speed pro hyper pistons, when I took it out to put in my stroker the pistons looked brand new.
and I beat the hell outta my car all day long with the nitrous, Ive seen many 1993+ 5.0 motors live for years with 15# of boost.
theres nothing wrong with them, and may make more power on a naturally aspirated motor because the pistons expand less and can have a tighter piston to cylinder wall clearance.

I am running the SpeedPro hyper's. No problems here. Unless you are going to run a ton of boost or N2O, hypers are fine. Even with mild boost you would be fine. Here is a pic of mine..
