more newb questions
alright now that i have a job i've been starting to buy parts for my project car. it was a v6 converted to a 5.0L (don't know the year of the engine) since i have the v6 harness in it i have been told that i need to get a MSD ignition box(no idea what to get), but at advanced auto i was told that since the car is carbed the v6 harness will work and i dont need a MSD box, so i have NO IDEA what to do (yea i have asked this question before but got an unclear answer so sorry for the repost)
also it has the v6 rear end and was told that i need to change it because the v8 would tear it to shreads
so will something like this work for thre rear end?

RE: more newb questions
Rear end: You've probably got the ford 7.5 inch rear end which can only be upgraded by buying an entire 8.8inch assembly (prices on www.50resto.com)
If you've got the 8.8 incher you should be fine, just buy some 90w140 fluid and flush it out.
Most likely its a 7.5" which you cant really beat up like you can an 8.8" so be ready to dish out some cash for the conversion. Theres a way to identify them but I've forgotten how.
As far as your harness issue, i have no idea. Someone will pop in with your much needed info though.
Good luck!
