HARD TO START WHEN HOT??

i have a 89 mustang 5.0 ... and it seems to have problems starting after it is warmed up.. I sometimes have to hold the gas pedal down and after a few cranks it will eventually fire... What could this be?

Do you have aftermarket headers? if so they could be making the starter hot. Also check you initial advance on the timing, if it's to advanced the engine could kick back at the started when it's hot.
