It's official, I hate them
 

I bought Flowmaster American Thunder catback. Now that I have 4.10's, the noise level is annoying.

Please recommend a quieter performance muffler.

I have the same, and I like it, if you drive it easy it isnt too loud.
if you floor it all the time, try some dynomax mufflers, or magnaflo.
my buddy has magnaflo mufflers, and you can barely hear it.

You would hate my setup. You can see my exhaust system in the sig. Super loud and sounds great! I love it. Its very rare to hear a Mustang guy say they want things quieter.

give em to me, that will make ur car quieter [:-]. you can get the other flowmaster mufflers. forgot what they are called. i think they are called force IIs.

I feel your pain. Sometimes my Grand Prix is too loud when cruising. Makes it difficult to talk to dates or just plain hear yourself think.

The Flowmaster Force II are supposed to be quieter than the American Thunder. It is said to give the mustang that Flowmaster sound when accelerating but sound stock when cruising. Never heard them myself but just read that in a Summit Mag.

some of that super annoying drone will go away after a few weeks, after that it still may piss you off depending on how sensitive you are to those frequencies.

i had the delta flow 40's, o/r h, and shorties and it sounded good on the freeway and at idle , but when i was just cruisin it wasnt really noticable....it wasnt obnoxious.
