more info please...
well since i have bought my mustang and added and added bolt on's i keep on reading and hearing about people pulling complete motors and parts from early 90's explorers, my main question is by pulling/building/picking parts off of these motors what kind of gains could i guesstimate? as well what years and parts should i look for if i find some donor explorers. just need some clarification so i can start playing a little more.....thanks for any and all info
"after all the busted knuckles, cuts, bumps, bruises, and smashed fingers you would think a pearson would learn to just buy something drive it and be happy instead of wrenching and playing every weekend...but i think i'll never learn!"

depends on what you wand 97.5 and up explorers come with gt-40 p heads and with the intake from there and a decent cam choice and all bolt ons you may get 260-275 rwhp with the right combo of parts and a tune

thats just my problem i dont know what i want just yet. and still new on the whole f/i 5.0 motors and whats good and what they can except. untill now everything i have ever tweaked on was early 70's to very very early 80's FE, windsor, modified motors with huge cams and big carbs so this is kind of a learning experience for me and this webpage has already givin me tons of great info so i figured i would ask some more info from true mustang guys. i would like to be able to acheive 300+ rwhp more on the plus side without nitrous or super/turbo set-up with a 306 or 310 block, any good recomendations? thanks again for any and all info

^^^^GUYS!!! READ HIS DESIRE!!!! W/O S/C!!!!........Anyway the best way to do that on a fox without a power adder and fuel injection will be a decent aftermarker intake, aluminum heads...have a fresh bottom end redone for good ring seal and a custom cam taylored to combo...good ignition and all bolt ons and good exhaust and gears an a dyno tune a 300 rwhp shouldn't be a problem

RE: more info please...
ok guys iam slightly retarded...(as mentioned earlier about being new to this particular build and aftermarket parts) apperantly when i bought the car i listened to words and didnt pay attention....the sub-frame connectors are kenny brown performance...atleast thats what the sticker says...sorry for the misconception, no s/c here, although its a thought, i would like to squeeze as much muscle out of it without a s/c, turbo, or nitrous. sorry ill correct my add on's list....but iam still open for all advice to build a pavmet pealing naturaly assperaited beast......thanks again guys!

yeah but why when he has the s/c already throw some good heads, intake and cam and have an easily 420+ rwhp at the tap of his throttle...
