how hard is it?
Geez, like just about everybody said, what's the deal with the high rpm's. If you want high rpm's, buy a nascar motor. About 900hp, guaranteed to make (maybe, sometimes) 500 miles, and costs about $30,000, and that may be on the light side. Or go get an import that costs more, has equal or more hp, but 1/3 the torque. Then spend copious amounts of money to modify the import to get times equal to what we pay less than five g's for. RPM's KILL MOTORS. I'll keep my torque and shift at 5500 or so, no matter the mods, and drive to work everyday not concerned about blowing up between stop lights, thank you very much.
Sorry t3000, this was not meant as a flame in any respect. It's just that going for high rpm's is not the best way to increase your ride's performance. Several mods need to take place to even gain that high of rpm, not to mention block, lower, upper, intake, exhaust, etc. Like the old saying goes (or sort of), "how fast you want to go depends on how much money you want to spend". <edited><editID>makarovboy</editID><editDate>37919.0142939815</editDate></edited>

Naw, you're taking it the wrong way. Keep asking questions on the forum and do some research, you'll get the concept with the help of a lot of good people. Unlike any other forums I know of, at least the folks here will help you to the max of their experience. Like I said, it wasn't meant to be a flame, but I came on a bit too strong. I'm sorry for that. I, like most here, speak from experience and are trying to be helpful. I didn't mention the new dart block, or forged crank and pistons, power adders, ad nauseum, and I will agree that's it's possible. But like I said, and many will agree, MONEY.
