Default Motor brake in

Hey all, I just got my motor done and fired it up for the first time the other day and now its time to start tweeking and tuning it. I was just wondering if there is anyoneout there that can give me some advice on the best way to break in a freshly rebuilt motor? I have no clue how to do this correctly...

So what your saying is not to bother babying it for a while, or running it at a certain rpm to set a good wear pattern on the valve train or anything?

you can run it , baby it or vary speed to quote un quote seat the rings but most of that is done after the first 20 min of run time ..with the type of rings used nowadays and a good quality hone job you'll be fine.......if something is not done right internally it'll come unglued whether you baby it or run it hard....I normally run a new set up easy for the first 100 miles only cause I wanna listen for any unusual noises or probs that may arise and make sure I have no leaks anywhere or odd smoking..after that .....I run it
