one day i missed third on my stock broke *** motor, sent the motor spinning up to 6200 rpm..
then i started hearing the same noise your talking about... i took the drive rod that drives the oil pump, and turned it into a twizzler, then snapped it in half..

and i know what you mean by making it a project..
mine was a daily driver too...

just pulled the dizzy and theres no sign of the the oil pump drive! its gone so i think im gonna have to pull the motor anyways[:@]what should i do while the motors out?
