Default 3G 130AMP alternator & low voltage, why?

I've replaced the alternator with a brand new 3G 130 amp and when i turn the car on the voltage shows 13 and when i turn the AC on it drops to 11 then goes back to 13.
at night if i turn the lights on and the AC on it drops to 11-12 volts.
and when the car is stoped it drops to 10-11.

why do i have problem with the voltage?
and the car backfires when i turn on the AC and lights!

I think the previews owner added some sort of power wire to the alternator to make it more powerful since i have 2 electric fan.
do you guys have any idea what would that be or do?

ok, so does your 3g use the FACTORY wiring that existed before the swap, the two big black ones?

no.

btw the previews owner did some trick to get more power by adding a thick red power wire from somewhere near the battery to the alternator i guess..
do u have any idea what was that?[/align]

I think you mean "previous" owner.

The extra wire is there to carry the extra amperage so the OEM wires don't get fried. PA Performance sellsa kit like that.

The wiring is not creating more power, it's just carrying it. The alternator has more power than some years. Some of the older models came with 75 and 90 amp alternators I believe.

Don't know what's wrong with your setup. Just trying to explain what yousee there.
