Default need help putting the dizzy back in the RIGHT WAY

Okay i need help putting my dizzy back in...
i ahve tried a few times and i can't seem to get it right
these are the steps im taking
1) with dizzy out of car, and plug out of cyl 1 and finger in the plugs hole, tap crank the car till air FORCES finger out...
2) after that Pointer on balancer should be near 0* TDC, turn the belt drive with a breaker bar till pointer is on 0*, use a screw driver to confirm that piston is really at TDC
3) Dizzy back and and make the Rotor point to where Cyl 1 is labled on the cap.

This is where i get confused, depending on how i put the dizzy back in cyl 1 can make the rotor face ANY WHERE, how do i know where Cyl 1 should be so i can stab the damn thign right
really want this thing running tonite!

The little marks at the base of the dizzy and the block are about 10 degrees if I remember right. Put the balancer on zero, stab it, then turn the dizzy to line up those 2 marks and you should be able to start it up to set the timing.

this doesn't make sense to me though, the online write ups are not that clear...

after i find TDC cyl 1 and 0* on balancer and all that holly jolly bull crap, i go to put hte dizzy back in, but what am i lining the dizzy up with on the block? cuz i have two cuts in the dizzy on teh base...

Can you get a pic so we can help point it out a little better?????? The mark should be around 1/8 inch or so from the edge of that lip that is on the block.

Follow the green line for the rotor tab shown, use the stator magnet as the reference point + make sure the TFI is oriented as shown, crankshaft at TDC or "0".
