Default Need Help Setting Up My Exhaust.

Nothings happening in pipes boost and juice so I'm just going to bring the thread over here for the 5.0 guys.

Ok guys, I need some input on how to set up the exhaust for our car.

We have BBK long tube headers, and a BBK O/R H-Pipe. Along with that we have 2 Dynomax Bullets, 2 1/2" in/out with a 3" case.

Alright, so we have the long tubes to the O/R H-pipe and then what ? The end of the H-pipe has that flange with the holes for bolts. I've seen on summits site flow tubes ? Do I need a flow tube for each side with tubing going off of that ?

Basically, where should I mount these for the best sound ect. And what all do I need after my H-pipe. We are going to go with tail pipes as well. Please give me some input on this.

~Thanks.

Yes you need a pair of flow tubes to connect the mufflers to the H-pipe.

Yes, you will need flow tubes for each side. Install the tubes, then the mufflers where they would normally sit and then the t-pipes.

Alright, so should I weld the mufflers to the flow tubes, connect the flow tubes. Then just put the tail pipes to the mufflers ? Or do you guys think I'll need some piping to make it reach the tail pipes ? Sorry if this sounds stupid but only exhaust I've set up was for my truck and thats a bit different.

You will need to add or modify to get flow tubes with those to connect to tail pipes correctly. Fox style mufflers have a offset inlet/outlet style. Comes in near the center of the car and exits the muffler on the tire side of the muffler. The mufflers sit right behind where the rear seat bends to go up in front of the rear axle. If you are under the car it is obvious where they go but with what you are using you have a little leway to angle them to reach the tailpipes.

If you are having a hard time figureing out what to do next after the H pipe you are better off takin the rest to a muffler shop and have them bend/fab the rest of the exhaust with the mufflers that you have. Otherwise it sounds liek it's gonna become a hack job and can possibly fall off on the road while you are driving if you dont hang it right.

yeah do what ewgoetz recommended by taking to a muffler shop for the connection from the mufflers to the tail pipes. i've done a hack job once and stopping to grab my mufflers wasn't fun at all all 3 times i did it
