spedo cable

RE: spedo cable
I did this about a month ago along with a brand new speedometer. I first take apart my dash and disconnect the speedometer cable from the back of the gauge cluster, remember not to cut the clip that retains it there. Then I jack the car up and pull the pin out that holds the cable into the transmission making sure that I keep track of that pin also. There will be a little bracket that holds the speedo cable on the driver's side fenderwell inside the engine bay, make sure that is taken out. Then, for installation, just do what you did backwards, plug it into the tranny, reconnect it to the bracket in the engine bay, feed it through the firewall and connect it back to the gauge cluster.

If you know what you are doing and keep track of all of your bolts and clips that go into the dash it can be done in an hour to an hour and a half. Bring it over and I can do it lol.
