An Irritating issue
 

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums so I just wanna say hi!

Anyways ive been having an issue that I can't seem to figure out on my 1989 mustang gt. Its my first mustang and I just bought it a month or two ago and I am still learning all I can about this car. So here it goes.

The check engine light shows up after about 5 minutes or so of driving each time I take her out, and as soon as it pops up I start to smell a heavy gas/oil exhaust smell when the windows are rolled down.

Ive got the codes but I dont know what they mean or how to troubleshoot them:

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4
14 Pip circuit failure

41 HEGO sensor circuit indicates system lean

95 - Fuel pump secondary circuit failure - PCM to ground[/b]


Im not really sure where to start because I am still very new to working on cars. I really dont want to go to a mechanic because I know it will be expensive and I'd really like to learn as much as I can on my own. Do any of you guys know of anything I do?

the pip signal is refering to the Ignition profile circuit......which in the distributor there is a pick up coil that I'd's tdc and this signal is transfered / interpreted through the tfi module on side of distributor and set to ecm as an input which is interpreted as the car is cranking hence injectors need to be pulsed ect ect....and car starts up is end result and runs...you may have a bad pick up in dizzy or tfi module and as for the o2 sensor prob I'd run a fuel pressure test and check pressure and make sure regulator does not have a leaking diapram by pulling vaccum line and making sure inside is not wet with fuel..also make sure no exhaust leaks are before o2 sensors and make sure ground is secure on back of heads for o2's = orange wire on an eyelet and it could also have a bad o2 sensor;)
