what would symptoms of a bad IVR, ive been curious about if mines bad a few people reccommended to replace it, but hell its 50 bucks i wanna see if theres a way to check it rather than just dishin out the money.

i just replaced mine, symptoms were when i would pull to turn my headlight on my dash lights would shut off and i would have to **** with it for them to turn on and the dash lights seemed kind of dim. i went to pick n pull and got one for ten bucks.

Well i have a similar problem, being that mines a 86 i have to pull my headlight switch out to turn mine on, but i have to usually turn the **** to light my dash up. but also my temp gauge doesnt work, speedo is off, and im not sure if all the gauges are accurate but yeah...

speedo is mechanical.. it is not related... either it has the wrong drive or driven gear or a prob in the cluster pending on how inaccurate mph is off
