Need Help Guys !

Alright, we're about to order the stuff to finish the exhaust.

But what flow/starter tubes should we get ?

On 5.0 resto they have these,

Would they work? Only thing I saw on summit are these, but the pipe has bends so I don't know...

if your not building your own exhaust and you are ordering a catback set up you don't need flow tubes cause as addermk2 stated they will come with catback...however if you are piecing together a set up and just have bare mufflers than you'd need the flow tubes from summit..not starter tubes;)

Ah alright, we are making our own exhaust. BBK long tubes to BBK O/R H-pipe to dynomax bullets to tail pipes.

Alright thanks, I assume I'll need reducers for the ends of the mufflers to fit into the flow tubes and tail pipes ?

RE: Need Help Guys !

??? Why? Arent your mufflers 2.5"? Arent you doing the whole exhaust 2.5?

Explosive 07-30-2008 10:32 AM

RE: Need Help Guys !

Yes, but if I have everything 2.5" it wouldn't be that easy to line everything up perfectly. I figured, weld 2 1/4 reducers on each end, weld one end to the flow tube and put that in the car then clamp the tail pipe to the other reducer. Not a lot of room under that car to be welding exhaust.

Ok guys, so the flow tubes ? Couldn't find any flow tubes, now both links are saying starter tubes, [:@] so are these ones from late model resto the right ones ?

So, those ones right ? Not the ones from summit ? Just want to make sure I get the right thing.
