Default 302 to 331 Stroker - What is involved

Hey, I've been browsing the internet on information on Stroker engines, and they seem interesting, particularly the 331. I'm wondering what's involved in building my engine up to this, and any good parts I might need to get started on doing this. I'm running a 91 LX Auto Trans, and I'm guessing I'm going to have to get a more heavy duty transmission along with the engine also, am I correct? Forgive me for being such a n00b with cars, but I'm willing to learn... Thanks in advance

bigger fuel pump, bigger injectors, stronger rear end, stronger tranny like u mentioned, bigger heads, bigger intake, bigger cam, bigger mass air meter, new balancer, new flywheel, and ull also need wider tires.

WRONG with almost everything you have in your list. I would recommend the 331 beside the 347 (its an oil burner) also all you have to do is buy a stroker kit and get the block bored .030 over. if you are going to build a stroker and do it right and buy better heads, cam, and intake with a bigger tb and maf, a 155 fuel pump and 24# injectors. the rear end is fineand the balancer, flywheel and tires are all fine too. A better tranny is a good idea to but its not a must. i would say get a tremec 500 or a World Class t-5 (this is what i have). i hope this helps

I would suggest staying away from the 347 and go with the 331....apparantly word is that there is an oiling issue with the 347....might want to do some research on this before you spend the money...this is what I have heard

I've read up on the oil burning issue, and there are some kits that have the rods to prevent it, should I go with that?
