inspection time draws near....
ok so my car is by no means street legal/emissions friendly.... ive got no cats, smog pump, and someone told me afr 185's would cause me to fail emissions? dont know anything about that.. whatever. how dificult is it to find someone to pass it. i really dont want to reverse my steps and put everything back on. that would include buying new parts as well. or is there any possibility it would pass anyways? its a 1990 so they have to do the sniffer thing i think...

just find a shop thats not to "high class" and while they are about to get your car on there lil machine, just mention to one of them how your car wont pass and youd pay "extra" to "make" it pass.
when i got my mustang done (and it passed with stock cats) the guy said hes had plenty of stangs come through and "for a lil' extra" as he put it, they have passed.
the law states that you have to do WHAT EVER IT TAKES to become legal. sucks ***, but thats the way it is. and i doubt its going to get any better

my state, Massachusetts, is eliminating all tailpipe sniff tests as of September.
All the stuff must be there, functional, but there is no test of actual emission output for pre-OBD-II cars.
Friendly reminder, catalytic converters are a FEDERAL law. Just because your state doesn't require them to pass, or maybe they don't even check, you are still risking a $10,000 fine PER CAT that is missing/removed from your vehicle.

maybe true but there isn't a cop around here that'll get down on his hands and knees to even check it..never had such or anyone around here ever have a cop do that..they got more important probs on the street than catless mustangs
