ok ok being that everyone online has "feelings" i will restate my statement. It is very very important to have a good understand of the equipment you are using. it is much mroe beneficial to not only instal but also diagnose problems with it when it occurs. USUALLY when you have a BAD Oil leak it will be from under the intake manifold. If there is a puddling of your oil sitting in fron of your distributor on top the from cover it is mroe than likely the seal under the front of your manifold. DID you use the cork gaskets when you installed IF you installed it. By your previous indication you are capable but in this response i am assumin gyou had it doen fro you, USUALLY I DONT use teh corks, just COMPLETELY cover the front and real seals with GOBBS of SILICON RTV BLACK HIGJ TEMP and lay the manifold down as quickly as you can and as prcisely matching the BOLT HOLES. Then torque away, REMEMBER CENTER - OUT! ALUMINUM MANIFOLDS SHOULDS BE TORQUED DOWN MORE THAN approx 15ft/lbs USE Some Thread lube to get accurate readings.

I would be leaning towards the rear main seal as stated before, especially when you said it gets worse when you drive it around. Do you have any vibrations?

Rear main seal is on the opposite side of the engine. I'm going to go with the lower intake manifold gasket as well. I had a leak there before and it pooled up by the distributer just like the OP's.

To the OP, it's not that expensive to replace. Cost of gaskets is your main expense. Maybe 30-40 bucks. Be prepared to unhook all your vacuum lines, TB, fuel rails, injectors, and possibly pull your distributer. The whole job took me about 3 hours but I have done it more than several times.
