Default Sound of LT vs Shorties

just curious, i heard that LT's were quieter than shorties. so what exactly is the difference between the 2? i've normally been lazy and just stuck with shorties but i'd like to grab some LT's this time. right now i have the stock headders, o/r h, and cherrybombs. and i know i wasted my money on the o/r pipe i have now but idc i'll sell it to a friend of mine

i went from shorties to lt's. Im not positive on this but to me it sounded like the LT's are quiter lower in the rpm range. But when you rip it they are louder then the shorties....... thats just what my ears tell me

ah, well if that's the case i think that works perfect with the setup i'm lookin at. cause right now my car sounds like that, those cherrybomb extreme mufflers are quiet at low rpm or cruising and if i gun it they scream.

if i grab LTs that one wont bolt to them. it's for shorties, but my friends got a 94 with the stock pipe still, i'll get a new h for the LT, i prefer the h pipes to the x

Oh alright. I'm also guessing your car screams because of those glasspacks.

6" ? dang.

And as for not being as loud as shorties, I think some say Long tubes have a deeper tone, if thats true they would go good with an H pipe I think.

yep i got these, the ones at the bottom offset in and out 2.5 pipes
i think they'd go good with a h and the mufflers i have. also i'm thinking of pulling the motor from my fox and putting it in this car, cause stock... i'm too slow . then i'll build up a 351 for my fox
