which heads to buy

which heads to buy
ok which heads to buy. i want to keep it cheap as possible with most bang for my buck. with eventually room for improvements and added go fast goodies down the road. however also take into if i should consider roller rockers, or a cam swap now as well.if so whats a good combo.
if i decide to just do a head swap, i hear 2" valve ports wont clear the pistons, so should i be looking for smaller valves? i saw someone selling some stuff on this forum but not sure if that will work with my setup. i think my engine guy is hesitant to use other peoples used stuff. but if i can score a deal. that would be great.
should i go with
gt40 alum heads
gt40x
patriot heads
procomp heads
edelbrock performer
edelbrock rpm
trickflow

RE: which heads to buy
you need to decide what you want, here.
the products you listed range from $400-$1300
you said cheap, right?
edelbrock, TF, etc arent cheap.
want a nice bang for the buck? contact Thumper of Orange Park. His ported E7s outflow gt40s

RE: which heads to buy
e7's are stock heads.
if there is no class restrictions, there is no reason to get those heads.
i have the eddy rpm heads
170cc 60cc 2.02 valve
you have a 302 or 351 correct? then its a direct bolt on.
all you need is head gaskets, i have the bolt bushings if its used on a 302 already for them,
i have rocker arms (stud mount) and you need to get your pushrods, and thats it, the intake and all that bolts right on up, so does the headers.
