Max Street tire size for a 16X8 is 245/50/16. You can go up to 275/40/17 on a 17X9 rim. I own a set of 16x8's from my old fox body...still have them sitting in garage. Plus, I looked this up just to be sure.

I find it funny that you are trying to educate ME on tires...
so what size rim did you run with the 275 and what size rim did you run with the 315? and if you're so brilliant with tires then why did you waste your time with 315's if there was going to be a diminished return in performance?

I didnt buy my 315's OR my 275's for performance... douchebag...

thats what my 275/50/15 drag radials are for

btw, the 315's are on 10.5" wheels, and the 275's are on 17x9's, and my stock wheels used the same brand and model of tire, at 245 on a 17x8

to be honest with you... don't **** with adder. He's a smart guy and knows what he's talking about. Unlike a lot of people on here he won't chime in on something he isn't sure about. Just drop it man, internet fights aren't the way to make you feel like a man

no one is here to pick a fight. i never called anyone "dumb" nor have i called names. btw 315 tires on a 10.5 inch rim seem like you'd put your tire in a bind. that's never good for traction anyhow. i just really don't like the misinformation that i read here. look at my post count versus the time i've been on here. i really don't say anything unless i see something that is misleading or something that has caused me issues.[8D]

im running 17x9's all the way around with 245/45/17's up front and255/55/17's out back....backs are perfect with no rubbing, the front tires outside wall got chopped up so im gonna get 17x8's up front and put drag radials on the extra 17x9's
