any one know the largest tire i can run on a 88 gt. i have 16"x8 cobra rims, front and back

245 45 up front and 275 45 out back!

and thats with the front not rubbing right

yup. i tried 255 up front and they rubbed a little like when i turned into a driveway really sharp or something wouldnt rub in parking lots or nething but when the suspension was getting compressed and turned fully it would rub so went back to 245 adn no prob!

It's possible to go a little larger in the back if you remove the quad shock or flip. Other than that though 275's will work with no modification.

he has 16x8's. and your rear size is still wrong for a 17" wheel too

i thought that sounded big can i still run 275 if the quad shock is reversed

im not sure that there are any readily available 275mm wide sizes in 16"....

you arent going to get any better traction with a 275 over a 245... and the 245's will still look awesome

yeah i cant find any but thats true probly just as good as the 245s
