Default Trying to pull codes using flashing CEL? Update

Im using Joel50s nice write-up about pulling codes off OBDI Fords and I am trying to use the CEL method.

How much time in between flashes? 2seconds for digits, and 4-6 seconds between codes? Is that correct?

I think the first code is 123 KOEO, but one more follows it and I am having trouble catching that one. On a 94, I am only looking for three digit codes, right? Any tips/advice?

Thanks.

Yep... 3-digit codes, check the example below from the write-up for code 327.

Looks like the KOEO codes are:

111 -System Pass

121 - Closed throttle TPS voltage higher or lower than expected (O,R), TP sensor was inconsistent with the MAF/MAP value in the last 80 drive cycles (M)

123- TP circuit above maximum 4.5 volts (O), TPS circuit has intermittently failed above maximum 4.5 volts (M)

I still need torun KOER, but form those codes, do I need a new TPS?

That may be the case. Clear codes (disconnect battery for 15 min.), make sure those codes are cleared, test drive the car until it reaches op temp under all driving conditions, and rerun the KOEO + KOER self tests. If the TPS codes show up again, replace it..... it may be failing due to temp/time damage.

Alright, cleared memory, drove it, pulled codes:

KOEO: 111, 121, 123. Same as before.

KOER: 111, 111.

On a 94, the TPS is non-adjustable, right? So when I get a new one, I dont need to check any voltages, correct? Just swap it on and go?

TPS is non-adjustable for foxes as well, yep.... just make sure the reading once you replace it falls within the .7 - 1.1 closed throttle position acceptable range, and it should be fine. LUK
