Default Time for a engine rebuild and Question about my options.

We'll i've decided its time to rebuild the 5.0. The engine is stock at least internally the only mods are minor bolt ons. There aren't any major problems with it, no burning oil or anything like that, only minor problem is the rear main engine seal is leaking a tiny bit. I am deployed out to sea right now with the Navy and I am going to get this done when I get back in a couple months. Of course i'll talk to my local shops but I would like to go in informed a bit about what I want and work out the particulars with them. Since im in the Navy all work will have to be done by them, I have only minor tools and no real place to work so pretty much the whole process will be on them.

Now my main question is how much would just a basic rebuild back to stock cost most likely? Also how much more over that would it cost to buy a 331 or 347 stroker kit and have it installedin the rebuild process? Also is that something that you guys would recommend? If I did stroke it what other parts would absolutely have to get upgraded to go along with the new engine?

I know whatever numbersI get from you guys will be really general ballpark figures and is going to depend alot on the shop I am just wanting to judge how much I can expect to be out of pocket and if the extra cost is worth it to me to stroke it vice keeping it stock. Since I know the question will come up this is my daily driver for at least the time being but I do have a motorcycle that I split some time on and I am not looking for any kind of crazy 400 hp numbers or anything just a reliable engine with some kick to it.
