It's like hitting a fovener or something and it stop firing then a few seconds later it powers or sparks back up. It's doing this around 4000 RPM when I am getting on it strong. I am using my factory tach and I thought it would still fairly read accurately. I was told that I am hitting the rev limiter and the tach isn't keeping up but I don't know but when I hit the rev limiter when I said it the car bounce's so to speak and it's not bouncing its fall down just like a govener or something...

could be an ignition module problem, judging from the coincedence of heat + problem

factory limiter is 6250 and if it were the case and tach were off it'd be the same in all gears....could be a secondary ignition issue..plug , cap rotor or wire
