Default Steering rack interchange

I am posting this in the 5.0 because it has it has more hits and I dont think the engine size will make a difference. I bought my son a 220,000 miles 95 Coupe and there is some slop in the rack. I bought a wrecked 04 front clip and swaped the spindles ( I was told these are better) and I wanted to know if I could swap in that steering rack also. I would think it would fit but am not sure. As any one done it? It was from a 4.6.

not sure on that, but you have a better chance of needing to address the steering shaft joints, thats where the slop is coming from.

As far as I can tell it is 94 95 only? I am going to check with them tomorrow. It is my sons first car and we have fixed it up With 3 in cowl hood and Cobra rims but it is loose to drive.

For that sort of $$ I'd try a 'pick-a-part' type wrecking yard...
