hey guys i have a 408 stroker that was running and idleing good after i used a resirictor plate for the IAC. it drove well for about a week and now its surging again. it surges so bad it stalls and almost never idles at all. we tried turning the timing down to about 15*, cleaned the connections, adjusted the tps to where it idled ( but only until i took it down the road) im wondering what could cause the surge all of the sudden and if there is anything i can do to fix it. my buddy herd of a wire that you can use to stop the surging idle but he doesnt know much about it..just that he has seen it before. ive done a lot of searching and most people say to clean or replace things which ive done. what i dont understand is how one day it will idle awesome then the next day it will stall all the time.

so i did a little more research and some people say that running rich at idle can cause the car to surge. the car is deff running rich so ill check that along with anything else you guys come up with.

alright guys i cleaned out hte iac again and i got it to idle by turning the throttle position screw all the way open and backing it down to 800 rpms. i shut the car off and started it again and it just dies...any ideas?
