Default New to the site...Just got my first Stang!

Hey guys whats up? i just recently picked up my first mustang, i was looking for a project to build up, for a few reasons, cause i was short on money, and i think itd be fun to build one up, with that amazing feeling of accomplishment in the end result. Ive got my stepdad helping me out w the build. Its an 89 Notch roller i picked up for $500 was originally a 4 cyl 5 spd. had a 5.0 in it already but needs a tranny which i managed to find a used t-5. (person claimed theres 90k+ on it)

the owner before the person i bought the car from had plans to make it a strip car, its got a roll bar and frame connectors. currently the motor is out of the car, with the top end taken apart and come to find out its fairly clean inside, so it had been previously worked on. its also got roller rockers and a cam i believe. tomorrow im taking off the oil pan to take a closer look.

my plans for my pony, are to go carburated. at least to start out until i become a little more experienced with working on cars mechanically, i would like to hear some of you guys opnions on my project, and what paths i should try to follow on my build, any recommendations for perf. parts. Ive been looking around locally for used parts and have found alot so far. i love reading your stories also, so feel free to share!
