so i put an o/r x-pipe on my 95 gt about 2 months ago and i just got a letter in the mail saying i am due for emissions in about 2 months.....i have my old h-pipe with the cats, when should i put it back on to make sure i pass emissions....can i put it on the day before or should i do it earlier than that?

You can put the cats back on anytime you want as long as its there for the test. Hopefully they arent too dirty and your o2 sensors are still good. You have a sniffer or just a visual? I forget what year gets what and where. Im lucky, my 93 is just a visual here in PA.

put the stock h pipe back on anytime before you head in for the test.

be sure to run the car hard before you head in so the cats are hot. they are more efficient when they are hot.

i have a 95 and live in ct.....and everyone in ct is a bunch of ****** so i am pretty sure its a sniffer.but i dont think with 95's they can check o2 sensors.....can they?....i thought obd2 came out in 96
