Checking Timing cover/chain

Default Checking Timing cover/chain

Hey guys im trying to double Check everything on my motor before putting my new heads and intake back on

the last time i tried taking a timing cover off a 5.0 i snapped every bolt...

how should i go about taking the Cover off with out snapping the bolts


And how would i check the Chain for Slack? or tell that its off a tooth?

Spray Lots of PB around and on the bolts to the timing cover about 30 min before you go to remove them. Than pray as you try to remove them.
