Getting out the hole....
I am trying to get some advice on leaving out the hole getting the max out of what I got. I was curious what's a hard but safe RPM to leave the line. I know all cars are different and what not just looking for a range of where I should be depending on the car and it's traction and where I shouldn't be so I'm not over doing it...I'm getting ready to make my first appearance at the track officially next month and I was wonder a good street/strip tire that works we'll I see there's a few brands and I want to keep my Cobra 17r's on. thanks in advance....also I heard the factory rev. limiter on a 89 is 6200 if so I should set my rev limiter there or a little before right on my crane hi-6 box...once again thanks for the input in advance.

id get some nitto 555r's very nice all around dr. just have to play with leaving id start out at about 3k ish. if you are running the stock cam and heads shift about 5500 ish the power band ends just before that and running it higher will slow you down. GL with it.

What brand name springs and shocks I should be looking for as far as the coil over an dwhat not. I have seen lot of the drag radials but the springs and shocks as far as performance I am not all that famillar with. I have heard of the Qa1 though know some guys with that stuff.....

im running strange engineering shocks/struts 8 way adj. and eibach drag springs. IMO this is a killer set up because i have a full range of adjustability so i can transition from a drag race to a road coarse in a matter of 2 minutes. I love the drag springs cause i get a ton of lift on the front a good traction. i run regularly on street tires and launch at 3k the tires dont even chirp. once i get the DR's i plan on doing launches at 5k
