my speedo and my gas gauge arnt working the spedo is completly not on and neither does the odometer .. the gas gauge will say its completly full even when its not .;

check to make sure the cable is not broken internally and gas gauge may have a bad sending unit in the tank

so i just replace the cable/sending unit would this fix the problem..

i tought i might have been the actual cluter its self ..

first undo cable at the cluster and drive the car and watch to see if the drive portion isside the cable is spinning, if it's not then it's either a bad cable or a problem down on the drive assembley attached on tranny, as for sending unit issue, I have a special gauge tester to confirm if the gauge and wiring are operational, you can unplug the sending unit wire on top of the tank and by grounding it i CAN'T REMEMBER IF that makes it go full or to empty position, there is a min max resistance value for the sender and if you know the spec you can plug resistors in series to get it to change location on gauge and by doing such it'd confirm a sending unit issue
