so i figured id take it to the track to see what she can run stock ..

its bone stock other than a hurst shifter ..

ima piece a nitrous kit together from extra parts i have form my ls1 ..

not looking for anything huge .. maybe a 80-100 shot ..

still has stock inj and stock fuel pump .. ill be changing out plugs to colder ones.. and 91 oct .mixed with 2-3 gallons of 101 oct

anythign else i should worry about ? ima take some weight off the car and run a set of slicks ..

how much timing am i going to have to pull ?
what will the stock fuel system suppport ?

let me knw what u guys sugest since im planing on goin this wensday .

hopefully she dosent break down .. she smokes a lil under hard acel and the clutch slips after i trash it so hopeing for the best and planing for the worst .. lol ...

most of what you said is overkill

w/ 80-100 you don't need 110 at all, just 92 is more than enuff. if it is under 80* and the air is good... i spray 80 on 12* and 92 octane. if it's really cool out, i spray 89 octane and 12* but get used to it first b4 really tweaking it that hard

colder plugs are not necessary either, stock coppers gapped at .040-.042"

since the pump is stock.. the only thing i can suggest is replace it or run a fuel pressure guage and make sure you use the fp safety switch.

the stock pump is big enuff and the fuel system will support 300 real hp... but thats if it is working to it's capacity. a 20 yr old pump might not be. i always use a 190

yeah the pump is the only thing worring me ..

well i run 91 in it all the time ... so i guess thats fin .. so how much timing should i pull for the 80-100 ?

or will it be fine as is ?? i might do the pump and run mayb 150-200 .. but this was just for this week at the track .. not sure yet ..

are the 255 walbros good enough for my needs at this moment ?

Go with the 255, just on case you want to upgrade even more.

no colder plug or 101 octane needed for that shot

what year is the car? id suggest putting hte timing at 12* with 91 octane is plenty!!! set the plug gap at about 35 or 40 no need for colder plugs. depending on what year you have you might have hyper pistons and if thats the cas don gon anybigger than 100. if you have forged pistons then 150 is fine but only with a fuel pump upgrade!!! your gonna be cutting it close with a 100 and the stock pump

sorry to the OP, but heres a question i cant get a strait answer about

what should my timing be at with a 100shot!?

im running 8* right now, and the car's running like CRAP, and over heating when sitting for more then a min or 2. (already tested for blow head gasket, nothing points to it, so i think my gaskets are alright.)

id like to put the timing to at least 10* becase of how sluggish this thing feels with 8*

any advice?

ive heard that you should take 2* of timing off for every 50 shot of nitrous i might be wrong though
