How can my engine be over full? drained both plugs!

i just put in 5 quarts..if its overfilled it'll leak out eventually

lol, im surprized no one said that sooner!

my car leaks about .5qt to a full qt every 1000miles.

wowzers, my stock 177k 5.0 didn't burn or leak ANY oil. and it got beat the crap out of every day of its life I loved that motor you couldn't kill it.

well mine is just the frount of the oil pan likes to squirt out when it gets up to temp.

its nothing really serious, but it does leak oil.


here soon im planing on pulling the engine, replacing all gaskets, and cleaning up the engine bay a bit.

this engine only has about 40k on it sence the rebuild, i think the guy before that owned the car just dident do it right or something *shrug*

didnt ford screw up and put the wrong dipsticks in, and thats why it reads high?
mine has that problem and so does the guys fox at work. that dumb bastard only put 4qts so it wouldnt go over the line, dumb shyt.

i thought the "oil low" light comes on when you only have 4qts?

i got my brand new ford racing engine last year around april. since the first oil change it has had exactly 5qts of mobil1 5w-30 and a mobil 1 filter, ask me if a CARE what the dipstick says :P
