Default Do all Stangs come Possy??

So I went to Cayuga dragway (Toronto) this weekend and saw a mustang with no Possy Traction run low 12's!!! When I saw this I said " ****, what if I buy a Stang With no Possy?? So I ask, is there a certain year, or model that doesn't have possy?

Well, what's possy? Oh wait, you mean Posi! Gee, how stupid of me. They don't come posi but they have something called Trac lok. That's Fords version.

The one wheel peel from Ford. GM calls in Posi, Ford calls it TracLok, Dodge calls it a SureGrip. All are similar. They use clutches to create friction between the 2 axles. The friction causes the axles to spin together.

The TrakLok is not an aggressive system and combined with wear they will act just like an open differential.

lol sorry guys, I'm new to Ford.....Mustangs........5.0!! Bare with me, ok so thats cool, but I just want to know is it common for 5.0's not to have trac loc???

if you can get traction without posi do so.


when I changed my sedan to posi, it got more traction, but more drag was added, it felt slower, but launched like no tomorow with added traction,.


Also I noticed a gas mileage decrease in the city.
