95 stang cutting out
I've tried everything and I really need help. Recently the stang has been cutting out throughout the entire rev range, even under normal driving. If I accelerate it cuts out badly around 3000rpm+. I have replaced plugs(champion, 2 heat ranges colder, gap .32) added new wires(accel), replaced the distributor(remanufactured), cleaned MAF, replaced fuel pump(255) and fuel filter, checked timing, tightened all SC hoses, new blaster coil, etc. I am stumped and I could really use you help. All mods in sig. Thanks

Yes, I took the ICM to Autozone. had it tested and it checked out fine. I have heard however, once they are cold, the readouts may say it is good, even though the ICM is actually bad. I dunno though. Thanks for the reply

that is true. the foxes are more susceptible to the heat problem because they're mounted on the dizzy, but it is true that if they are bad, the problems are more than likely created with heat. drive back to them and test it while its acting up.

The car drives alright when cold. Once the car hits operating temps, then the car starts cutting out real bad. I should also note that I am not getting any codes. Fuel pressure was at 40psi and I am getting spark. I did a compression test(head gasket blown possibility) and there was 0 pressure loss. No loss of coolant and no coolant/moisture in the oil or on the plugs.

My 90 GT is doing about the same thing. I have changed the coil, TFI module, IAC, Throttle position sensor, Plugs, checked ohms on plug wires, new fuel filter, checked fuel pressure, new cap and button, check for vaccuum leaks, re-torqued intake bolts, changed mass air, changed computer. Car has new valve springs, valves and lifters with less than 500 miles on them... From 3500 to around 4000 rpms and up it develops a random miss after the car warms up. I can't seem to think its anything internal since it does it after warming up and not exactly all the time... If it was a lifter it should chatter bad idling since it has lower oil pressure... I bought an alternator conversion kit to go from the stock 75 amp to 130 amp alt but havent put it on yet... With the electric fans and everything running could it be not getting enough spark? Could an injector be going down (I have near new 24lb FRPP injectors)? Seems like we have some of the same problems NOGo95GT ...I'm lost with it and am dying to take it to the track...Anyone with help or ever run into this????

I heard that...lol I always need something I don't have... I am running a set of Ford Motorsport Wires...Even though my plug wires are reading pretty close on ohms when checked...Do you think they could be breaking down after they get heated up??
