I am still fighting with the d*mn tach. According to diagram posted above there is a red/yellow wire also attached to tach. Should this just be run to + somewhere?

Im almost regreting this swap over.

you shouldn't have to mess with anything in the cluster inside the car i DID ALL THE HOOK UP UNDER THE HOOD, and just hooked the tac signal wire to the neg side of coil, key is to have the right wire

I at a loss I dont know what else to try. I guess I could try every single wire on that connector and see what happens. But I could short something out if I try that.
