ok im new to the 5.0 realm since im guessing all 5.0's and 5.8's use the same bell housing is this correct? because I'm throwing in a 5.0 just to get the car running

and secondly what kind of trans will I be able to use without a ECU I have no clue which ones will bolt up and which trans would be best?

any man trans, and you could make an aod or c4 work, they use tv cables instead of pcm control like the aode uses.

aod, c-4 and t-5 , both c-4 and t-5 have removable bellhousings
