opinions.......
ok guys, here is the deal. i have an 84' vert that has everything converted to it from an SVO. the front end, complete suspension(its now 5 lug), and interior parts. my problem is that i it has a pretty hefty built 302 in it that i am having overheating issues with. i have redone the head gaskets twice. i was told that it was a 347 stroker but im not certain that is. it doesn't perform like it. it gets hot as soon as i start it up, the cooling system is building up preasure some how and blowing the coolant out of the overflow jug. i did blow a head gasket thats the reason i tore it down the first time, but it never overheated on me. im stumped on what i should i should do. i have changed the t-stat, changed radiator, water pump, intake gaskets. i need some ideas on what else i need to check. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. if i can figure it out my plan is to build a 393 stroker. i was told that my block is more than likely cracked. i took the heads in both times to have checked. what is the likely hood of the block cracking?
