You're timing could very well be off, I have 139,000 miles and mine was set at 20 degrees [&:] when I purchased it. Over time, the timing chain tends to come loose and it will mess up you're timing. Check you're timing light first and tell us what it is and then clean out the EGR.

It could also be clogged catalytic converters, they will rob the car of power if it can't breath

I honestly don't know how some people can own a car.. You don't know how to check your timing!? Come on! That is pretty basic dude... Almost as bad as the post on whether or not to take out both drain plugs out of our DUAL SUMP oil pans.. I mean, didn't you people ever pay attention to anything as you were growing up? I dunno, maybe it's just me noticing the lack of mechanical intelligence, but those things arent considered mechanical to me... [sm=wtf.gif]

On the timing gun there will be a negative and positive connection that hook on to you're battery, hook those up. There's also a clamp that goes on you're #1 cylinder plug wire hook that up. Remove you're spout chip and start your car, let it warm up and get to 700-800rpms (warmed up) and point the light towards you're harmonic balancer and read the numbers. Hope this helps!

That's like me saying, Come on people you don't know anything about a computer? I don't know how many people have hosed their computers or had a 'computer expert' with them when I used to work retail computer sales. It was pretty dang sad when their "expert" was as much of a fool as they were. "So the DVD burner can burn DVDs AND CDs? Umm YES!" Better yet, what, you don't know anything about the phone system in your house? Come on, you use it everyday. Last but not least, there's a reason why they put warning labels on HOT coffee and RISK OF SHOCK on electrical things. Oh, did you know that fast food if eaten on a regular basis can make you fat? Umm DUH! People don't use common sense or don't know about stuff they use in their daily life. Period

To some people a car is just as intimidating as the stock market or a computer. Get off your high horse.
