5.0L (1979-1995) Mustang Technical discussions on 5.0 Liter Mustangs within. This does not include the 5.0 from the 2011 Mustang GT. That information is in the 2005-1011 section.

If you could do it all over again what engine combo would you go with?

Our motor we have in the car now, except a custom ground cam. Now if we're dreamin, I guess same motor stroked to 347 and blown. All nicely packaged in a notch.

ya see this is a little discouraging to me. I know my little 306 that's being built now will be a lot of fun and a hot *** little daily driver once it's finished and i get back to the States. But i will probably end up feeling the same way about it eventually. =( Oh well.

When i started my project i decided to just go with a 306 to save money. I knew that if i were to build a 331 or 347 i would easily dump 10k into the car. Looks like I'll easily have that into it when it's done in a couple months anyway lol.

So if i had it to do all over again i would build a 347 stroker. Perhaps a future build will consist of an 89 or newer notch with a 418 stroker. Just a loud "in your face" street car that makes the ground seem to shake!!!
